-its been a long time. I enjoyed using ampjuke for the almost full year I have had it now. I do have a request or maybe just something to think about. Right now from the random play Ampjuke generates a playlist that is downloaded and opened by a media player.

My idea is more like a radio station, what if the playlist is kept on the server and it is streamed (like a radio station). Queue's then could work a little different so that when a song gets queue'd up then it is played through the stream instead of redownloading the playlist. If nothing is in queue then it just grabs some random song.

Great you're still happy with AmpJuke.
Your request certainly makes sense. In fact, one of the very,very early un-official versions of AmpJuke used the approach you're describing.
It was possible by using Icecast - and it worked (at least for mp3's only).

However, a lot of things have happened with AmpJuke since then, and I'll need to investigate further before introducing a "radion station" mode.
Right now I'm fooling around with improvements in the scan routine, reflections on some images (a kewl effect), flash player (see this topic: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=146) and advanced search. Adv. search is already tested+ready for next release - 0.7.8..

That being said, I still consider a "radio station" mode an interesting suggestion, and will certainly look further into this later this year.
